Today's letter is a short one, and rather self-explanatory. Seems the two got a chance to chat on the phone once Maj. Gillham arrived stateside for the first time in seven months.

San Diego seems deserted, but very pretty. I am at the El Cortez Sky Room now.
I just ran into an incoming shipment of white shirts at Brooks and got two. Also a couple of sport shirts.
